(in)Couraged Flock~ A Group for Ministry Wives

It started 38 years ago. On a cold, January night in Pottsville, PA, a little girl was born- completing a family. She was raised to love Jesus. Her Daddy would preach every Sunday. Her Mama faithfully demonstrated how to honor God as a pastor's wife.

She was blessed and truly thankful for her childhood. But she never thought she would marry a pastor.

Fast forward to college when she chose to go to Moody Bible Institute- a college entirely devoted to ministry. She thought it was safe when she fell in love with a guy who wanted to be a youth pastor. Fifteen years after they were married, her husband is a senior pastor and she is the pastor's wife.

You might have guessed that the little girl was me. My husband and I have been serving the Lord together for over 16 years, but I feel like I have been in ministry my entire life. And one thing I know for certain is that ministry can be tough. God never intended for any of us to walk this ministry road alone.

Since October, I have had the privilege of co-leading a private facebook group with my dear friend Amy.
We have been blessed to work with (in)courage as part of the (in)couragers community groups. Our group is for ministry wives and we have been blessed by the women who have joined our group- missionary wives, pastor's wives, youth leader wives and friends who support women in ministry like Amy!

We seek to encourage one another through scripture, through prayers, through blog posts that deal with topics specific to ministry wives and by creating a safe community where we can share our hearts without being criticized or judged. If you are a wife in ministry and you are craving a community like this, we would love to have you join us!

To join the (in)Couraged Flock group on facebook, you can email Becky at ohappydaye at gmail dot com or Amy at amyctilson at gmail dot com. To get to know Amy a little better, please check out her post here.

(in)courage is committed to connecting women beyond the blog posts. Today is the beginning of Session 2 of the (in)courage community groups. If you are looking for connections with other women, please check out these groups and join one! We pray that you will be blessed by the community of encouragement that is open to every woman!
