A Beauty Walk

My attempts at homeschooling my 3 year old for preschool have been put on the back burner.  I had not expected to be pregnant, but the reality is that I am tired.  And I am sick.  Constantly.

My creativity and my capability are not coexisting these days.  So when asked how preschool is going, Gibson will tell you, "I'm not doing school, cuz mommy is pregnant."

Sigh.

But as with all things, I am learning to hold onto my expectations loosely.  We do the best that we can and we take advantage of the brief moments of energy that I have.

Like our Beauty Walk- part of our plan to learn the letter "B".

The only rule for this walk, was that Gibson had to find things that he thought were beautiful and then I would take a picture.

Weeds are beautiful through the eyes of a 3 year old!

This was my contribution- because what is more beautiful then a  boy who is ecstatic about flowers?!!

This was a sweet end to our walk- visiting his daddy and finding him beautiful!

I thought this would be a fun activity for Gibson, but I was amazed at his eye for beauty.  He loved this and has asked me to do it again!

So even with all of my plans falling by the way side, my boy is growing and learning.

And it is beautiful!
