This past weekend, we did!
The kids were mesmerized. They walked around the entire time with their hands out, hoping that a butterfly would land on them.
I was mesmerized too. The intricate beauty of a butterfly is a sight to behold.
"Shout with joy to God, all the earth!"
"Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious!"
"All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing praise to your name."
"Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works in man's behalf!"
It is remarkable to me that God lovingly and creatively made each one of these butterflies with their distinct characteristics, their beautiful coloring, their way of fluttering about that leaves the viewer in awe of beauty.
After chasing butterflies around for awhile, Lindsay decided to stand still. But a butterfly still didn't land on her!
Ethan had one land on him and he didn't even know it! Isn't that how life is? We can try so hard to get thatonethingthatwewant and we forget that sometimes God gives us what we want when we stop the trying and the striving.
Up close and personal with a butterfly!
Frolicking!
Encouraging the butterflies to come out and play!
In addition to the amazing butterflies, this garden boasted some super cute turtles. This one was our favorite!
If she didn't like butterflies before this trip, she certainly does now!
Unforgettable moments!
The only sad part was when we had to leave!
Father God,
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to see more of your beautiful creation. Thank you for the joy that was evident in my kids as they explored and observed. Your works are truly wonderful!
Love,
Your kids
